Terms of service

Last updated: 2 October 2026

1. Who we are

2Click Backup (2clickbackup.com, the "Service") is operated by UAB „IT Edge Pro“, registration code 305471831, VAT code LT100012998612, Miglės g. 36, Didžioji Riešė, 14264 Vilniaus r., Lithuania ("we", "us"). Contact: info@2clickbackup.com, +370 655 22650.

These terms apply between us and the business or organisation that creates an account and orders a subscription ("you", the "Customer"). The Service is intended for business customers. By creating an account or placing an order you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms on behalf of that business.

2. The Service

Each subscription includes:

  • a dedicated, S3-compatible cloud storage bucket of the capacity you order, with its own access keys that only work for that bucket;
  • backup protection for the number of workloads (servers, virtual machines or similar systems) you order;
  • the disaster recovery target you select, if any (your own cloud, our private cloud or AWS), as described on the website at the time of ordering.

Storage is provided through our infrastructure partner Wasabi Technologies in its EU (Frankfurt) region. The backup software, its configuration and any onboarding assistance are provided as agreed with you for your subscription.

3. Account

You must give accurate information, confirm your email address and keep your password and storage access keys confidential. You are responsible for everything done with your account and keys. Tell us immediately if you believe they have been compromised; we can disable and replace the keys. We recommend turning on two-factor authentication.

4. Orders, prices and payment

  • Prices are shown on the website in euro, excluding VAT. VAT is added at checkout where it applies; EU businesses with a valid VAT number are invoiced under the reverse-charge mechanism.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically for the same period until cancelled.
  • When you change a subscription (workloads, storage, disaster recovery target or billing period) the change applies immediately and the difference is charged or credited pro rata.
  • If a payment fails, Stripe retries it. If the subscription remains unpaid, we may suspend storage access until payment is received and, after 30 days of non-payment, terminate the subscription.
  • We may change prices for future billing periods with at least 30 days' notice by email. The change does not affect a period already paid for.

5. Your responsibilities

  • You decide what data is backed up, and you are responsible for having the right to store it and for its lawfulness.
  • You are responsible for configuring backup jobs, retention and encryption, and for regularly testing that your backups can be restored. We strongly recommend encrypting backups before they leave your systems.
  • You must stay within the storage capacity you have ordered; if you exceed it, we may ask you to increase the subscription.
  • You must not use the Service for unlawful content, to infringe others' rights, to distribute malware, or in a way that harms the Service or other customers.

6. Your data

You keep all rights to the data you store ("Customer Data"). We access it only to provide the Service, to comply with the law, or when you ask us to (for example, for support). The data processing terms in section 12 apply to any personal data within Customer Data.

7. Availability and support

We aim to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability unless a separate service level agreement has been signed with you. Planned maintenance is announced in advance where possible. Support is provided by email on Lithuanian business days.

8. Disaster recovery

Every subscription includes the disaster recovery ("DR") option you select. DR means that, after an incident at your site, your protected systems can be started at the DR location from the most recent replica or backup. How it works depends on the option and on the type of system:

  • Your private cloud: recovery to infrastructure that you provide and operate. You are responsible for its capacity, availability and licences; we configure and support the recovery.
  • Our private cloud: recovery to our own infrastructure in Lithuania. Your systems run there in a network segment separated from other customers.
  • AWS: recovery to Amazon Web Services, in the account and region agreed in the DR plan. Charges of the cloud provider for running your systems during tests and failovers are payable by you unless agreed otherwise in writing.

Virtual machines on supported platforms can be protected by continuous replication; other systems, such as physical servers, are recovered by starting them from the most recent backup, in which case data written after that backup can be lost.

8.1 DR plan

Before DR is available we agree a written DR plan with you. It lists the protected systems, their start order and network settings, how your users reach the systems during a failover (for example by VPN or public IP addresses), the people authorised to request a failover, and the target recovery times. You give us the information and access needed to prepare it and tell us without delay when your systems change. Target recovery times are objectives, not guarantees, unless a separate service level agreement has been signed.

8.2 Failover and failback

  • A failover is started at the request of a person authorised in the DR plan, by phone and email to the contacts in section 1. We start it as soon as reasonably possible, also outside business days when the plan says so.
  • A failover to our private cloud is included for up to 30 days per incident. After that we may charge for the resources used at our prices then in force, or agree a migration with you.
  • Resources available to your systems during a failover to our private cloud (processors, memory, storage) are those set out in the DR plan. Additional resources depend on availability.
  • When your own systems are available again we help you return the systems and data changed during the failover to them ("failback"), at a time agreed with you.
  • You remain responsible for changes outside our systems, such as DNS records, firewall rules at your site and informing your users.

8.3 Testing

One DR test per year is included. It runs in an isolated network so that your production systems are not affected, and we give you a short report of the result. Further tests can be ordered at our prices then in force. We strongly recommend that you check the tested systems yourself as well.

8.4 Software licences

You are responsible for having the right to run the operating systems and applications of your protected systems at the DR location, for example through Microsoft Software Assurance disaster recovery rights. Where you do not have such rights, we can provide licences for the duration of a failover at an additional charge.

9. Cancellation and end of the subscription

  • You can cancel a subscription at any time in your account. It stays active until the end of the period already paid for; payments are not refunded for unused time unless the law requires otherwise.
  • When a subscription ends, its storage access keys are disabled. The stored data is kept for 30 days, during which you can reactivate the subscription or ask us to help you retrieve the data. After that we may permanently delete the bucket and everything in it.
  • We may terminate a subscription with immediate effect if you materially breach these terms, or with 30 days' notice for any other reason, in which case we refund any prepaid amount for the remaining period.

10. Liability

Backups reduce the risk of data loss but cannot eliminate it. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or loss of data that could have been avoided by restore testing and by keeping more than one copy of important data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid for the affected subscription in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for intent or gross negligence.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes are notified by email at least 30 days before they take effect. If you do not agree, you may cancel before the change takes effect.

12. Data processing terms (GDPR Article 28)

For personal data contained in Customer Data, you are the controller and we are the processor. We:

  • process it only on your documented instructions, which are these terms and your use and configuration of the Service, for as long as your subscription lasts plus the 30-day period in section 9;
  • ensure that people authorised to access it are bound by confidentiality;
  • apply appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access keys limited to a single bucket, encrypted storage of keys and credentials, two-factor authentication for accounts, and restricted administrative access;
  • process Customer Data on our own infrastructure in Lithuania (including disaster recovery replicas) and use the following sub-processors: Wasabi Technologies (storage, EU region), Amazon Web Services where you select that disaster recovery option, and for the operation of the account, Stripe (payments) and Telia Lietuva (email hosting). We will notify you at least 30 days before adding or replacing a sub-processor that processes Customer Data, and you may object by cancelling the subscription;
  • assist you, as far as reasonably possible, with data subject requests and with your obligations under Articles 32–36 GDPR;
  • notify you without undue delay after becoming aware of a personal data breach affecting Customer Data;
  • delete Customer Data at the end of the period in section 9, unless the law requires us to keep it;
  • make available the information needed to demonstrate compliance with this section and allow reasonable audits, at your expense and with reasonable notice.

The categories of data subjects and personal data are determined by you through the data you choose to back up. Processing takes place in the EU; where a sub-processor transfers personal data outside the EEA, it does so under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania. Disputes are resolved by negotiation first and, failing that, by the courts of the Republic of Lithuania competent according to our registered office.
